Introduction
Baihe Reservoir is seriously insufficient in water storage and irrigation capacity due to serious siltation. In order to completely meet irrigation needs, the Ministry of Agriculture designated NT$120 million and subsidized the Chianan Management Office’s construction of "Baihe Irrigation Area Alternative Water Source (Pipeline) construction," with a total length of about 4.6 kilometers. A pressurized pump station was built on the north main canal of Chianan Canal and the water is delivered to the Baishui River main canal by a pressurized pipeline, which is used to irrigate 602.5 hectares of farmland and provide the irrigation needed for crop cultivation.
