Due to global climate change, Taiwan recently faced its worst drought in a century, with insufficient rainfall leading to irrigation stoppages and fallow periods in some reservoir areas. To tackle these challenges, the Irrigation Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture has implemented various engineering and management measures in recent years. These include increasing water storage facilities, expanding storage capacity, constructing new distribution facilities, developing diverse water sources, and installing intelligent control systems. These efforts aim to strengthen the resilience of the agricultural water supply and reduce the risk of water shortages. Furthermore, the Irrigation Agency is actively promoting various measures to support the agricultural industry, ensuring stable production and a sustainable operating environment.
