Introduction
Guanshan Canal irrigation area is located at the southern end of the Huadong Rift Valley and northwest of Taitung County. It is under the administrative jurisdiction of Haiduan Township, Guanshan Town and Luye Township in Taitung County. The topography of the irrigation area is formed by the Central Mountain Range (west) and the coastal mountain range (east). The main canal runs from Haiduan Township to Guanshan Town and finally to Xinfeng Village in Luye Township, with a total length of 18.8 kilometers, irrigating 2,036 hectares of farmland in the Rift Valley Plain between Xinwulu River, Beinan River and Luye River.
